Bones is back, baby! And so is your lovely re-capper! And this season, I'll be doing more reviewing than recapping; I figure that if you're reading this you probably have your own opinions...
So with the season ending tonight, we were told of some "developments" between Booth and Brennan that were definitely going to happen. Emily Deschanel and creator Hart Hanson, in particular, were openly talking about the "incident" between the two in this episode over the last couple weeks. They just weren't saying how or why it was going to happen.
I'm filling in for Jolee for the last couple Bones episodes this season, and I'm going to try something a little different. Instead of a full-on recap, it'll be more of a brief summary and review/discussion about the episode. (Well, let's hope there's a discussion -- c'mon people, we know you're reading, so let's have your voices heard!)
So...
A combination of me being very busy, and "Bones" airing episodes faster than I can type, puts this recap very late. Let's get to it!
The Doctor in the Den
Cam's ex-fiance (from about 10 years ago) is dead, killed by a new girlfriend of his. Cam is understandably upset, as is the ex-fiance's daughter, who is now 16.
A very dehydrated body is found in a salt truck, Brennan tells us that it was a tall teenage girl that was only dead for less than a month, and the salt quickened the desiccation process.
Angela and Roxy are getting a dog, apparently. And, there is a new intern working with the Squints who is Muslim.
A skeleton is found at the bottom of an ocean cliff by some bungee-jumping newlyweds. B&B determine that he was not a bungee jumper, and that he was thrown over after he was already dead.
At the Jeffersonian, our intern of the week, Mr. Useless Trivia sees the victim's skin "moving".
This recap is late – my apologies! I've been in "moving mode" for the past week, and will be this week as well. Bear with me! This episode focuses on a female victim found in a sewer, wearing "Lord of the Rings porno" stuff.
This episode opens with Brennan, Hodgins, and the novelist Mr. Vega in front of a Federal judge, and Heather Taffet, who is currently heading the investigation on the Gravedigger case.
The episode opens with Booth playing a very rough game of hockey; FBI guys vs. Firemen. He gets all up in this guys face, Carlson, for roughing up his team. They fight on the ice, Booth wins, but breaks his hand in the process. It seems like gratuitous "angry Booth".
Booth and Brennan check out the skeleton(s?) of conjoined twins out in a desert. The team, along with the annoying Mr. Murray of the unrelated trivia knowledge, deduce that they were buried in a very shallow grave, and the victims were young females... easy to ID considering that they were conjoined twins.
