For years playing supporting characters -- including co-starring on his friend JJ Abrams' shows Felicity and Alias -- Grunberg finally got a starring role in the NBC series Heroes, playing Matt Parkman, the L.A. cop who could read minds.

But let's not kid ourselves -- we're not CNN or Entertainment Tonight or even TVGuide.com, and as such, we weren't given the same kind of access these media outlets who have been around for more than five months received. But that doesn't mean we didn't get any access.

Three sitcoms from the same comedy block; two medical dramas quite different from each other; a couple hour-long comedies looking at opposite ends of the social spectrum; some mysterious people with super powers; a critically-acclaimed but ratings-starved drama; and of course, a serial killer who's actually kind of endearing.

During the holiday season, we know there's one thing none of us can get enough of, and that thing is Christmas music. Since you're stuck listening to it as you stroll through malls from Halloween right through the Boxing Day Super Sales, you may as well be listening to the good stuff when you get home and start wrapping presents.
