From the time Batman Begins ends to where The Dark Knight starts, you see Gotham on its way out of the gutter. Batman's presence has made police more confident and criminals more cowardly. Gotham has a new beacon of hope in District Attorney, Harvey Dent. Though things are looking up, you need a spark to start a fire.
Curving bullets you say...?
The first time I saw a preview for this movie, I was aghast at how ridiculous the idea of curving a bullet was. I mean come on....
IMDB Tagline: Some Guys Don't Know Their Destiny Till It Hits Them In The Face.
Film review: You know what? I liked this movie a lot more than I thought I would. After hearing nothing about it until it was handed to me at dinner, I was a little worried that I'd have to sit through 88 minutes of awful. As it turns out, I was quite incorrect.
June 20, 2003. That was the release date of Ang Lee's The Hulk. Now, I didn't google release dates to find this out. I know this because at the time I was BEYOND excited. I counted down months, weeks, days until June 20, 2003. See, I'm a little biased. I'm a DIE HARD Hulk fan.
It took 19 years for George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford to reconnect and once again put together an Indiana Jones flick. This one has a cast that really mixes it up. You've got the return of Harrison Ford as one of the most iconic characters in movie history, and Karen Allen returns as Marion Ravenwood (Indy's love interest).
If you're looking for a popcorn flick, Shake Hands with the Devil isn't it. It's a thought provoking and eerie take on one man's experience during the Rwandan genocide.
If you've read my review of the Star Trek teaser, you'll already know I'm a Star Trek fan.
I'm a simple Star Trek fan. I've never liked the terms "Trekkie" or "Trekker"; I even get embarrassed when people call themselves that. Yet I own a shirt with Captain William T. Riker's silhouetted beard on it.
If the word Cloverfield holds no meaning for you than Paramount Pictures and JJ Abrams' Bad Robot Productions haven't done their job, you simply don't hang out online very much, or you've been somewhere without modern technology since the summer.
In the world of film criticism, the month of December can be described as hellish at best, even if you're not based out of New York or Los Angeles. Screenings ramp up and activities other than watching movies become a long lost memory.
