With only a decade of on-stage experience, Shane Mauss has achieved a Master's education in stand-up comedy. He started telling jokes in 2004 and made two appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien within his first three years.
One of the reasons why popular works of fiction remain well known through the ages is because they get homaged in later works of fiction. Homages are done to pay respect to these original works.
There are few Canadian comedians operating on the same level as Mark Forward. He is an absurd storyteller and an unusual talent. His debut stand-up comedy album, Things I Thought Of, was released earlier this year.
You get the impression that no matter the story... if it begins within the world of Joel and Ethan Coen's Fargo, all must inevitably turn to blood and violence.

I was first introduced to the comedic mind of Daryn Jones on his early 2000s Comedy Network show Buzz, which featured he and Mista Mo in various sketches and random bits and interviews on the streets of Toronto.

Stand-up comic Phil Hanley has had a great last couple years since moving from Vancouver to New York to take his comedy career to the next level. He's appeared multiple times on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, as well as shown up on John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show on Comedy Central.
It's safe to say, this was an above average year for movies. I can tell because I had such a tough time narrowing down my list to only 10 picks.
That stiff golden boy they call Oscar had his list, so why can't I? That's right film fans, I'm back for another list to count down my favourite flicks from 2013.
It's been a two picture race since last fall between 12 Years a Slave and Gravity. 12 Years a Slave has always been seen as the front runner, but in recent weeks Gravity's popularity has been increasing. The movie with the most nominations, as Gravity has, wins the majority of the time.
