On the last day of performances, Mookie totally nails "These Eyes." Omar tells a very sad story about his murdered brother and emotes his way through Burton Cummings' "Break It To Them Gently."
Piggots. You know there's a whole paragraph (or two) coming just for them.
Here in the Top 200, there are many old favourites (can we call them that yet?) on display and plenty of new faces as well, and most of this episode focuses on great performances with very little behind-the-scenes drama, so I best get cracking.
Day 1 is individual performances in rows of 10 or so, followed by quick cuts.
There wasn't much in the way of good auditions last night, but the bad auditions are vastly unworthy of comment, and so I'll just introduce you to the gold ticket holders you may or may not catch a glimpse of in the Top 200.

Party-planning committee. Something about a party for Toby that I missed because my PVR sucks. I do know, though, that Michael has been saving money from his grandmother in his shoe. I am also now gathering that Toby is leaving. Maybe he's really going to Cuba. MAN, I wish I knew what was going on here.
Michael is going to a job fair – at a high school – to find some interns. They let high school students intern now? Oscar, Pam and Darryl are coming with, and Darryl's put on a tie for the occasion (Kelly: "Oh. My. God. Everybody, I'm dating Barack Obama!", so that's still going on), while Michael has put on jeans and sneakers.
Michael enters the office freaking out about wet cement outside and how he wants to leave his mark in it and QUICK EVERYONE WHAT IS HE GONNA PUT IN THE WET CEMENT?!? I had to rewind it like three times to figure out what he was talking about, and not least because I am not used to hearing it called cement.
Ooh, okay, this is The Office I know and love. A+ episode.
First things first, Michael has gum in his hair. From crawling under Stanley's car because he saw something shiny. Dwight lovingly spreads peanut butter all over Michael's head to help get the gum out. Does that work? It's totally creepy and wonderful.
