American Idol Season 9: Top 24, Boys Night

Posted by: Ariana  •  February 25, 2010 @ 12:40am

We're still on Billboard Hits for the week. You got yer introductions of the contestants, you got yer introductions of the judges, you got yer singing. Let's go!

Oh, but wait, I feel I should address something at the outset. Last night, I loved Lacey's performance, perhaps best of all. Everybody else in the world (at least on the internet) HATED it.

American Idol Season 9: Top 24, Girls Night

Posted by: Ariana  •  February 24, 2010 @ 1:47am

You know, I was going to just do one post a week, but it turns out I have so much to say that it's easier to break it up into a post each night. I figured rather than edit the life out of my recap, which would take more time than all of this is worth, I'd just post it here for your enjoyment, in all its 1,600-word glory.

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains - It's Getting the Best of Me

Posted by: Paul Little  •  February 19, 2010 @ 3:41am

Things are getting crazy on the island, and we're only a few days in! Just like Survivor: All-Stars, there is a lot of turmoil early on. But unlike that show, it doesn't seem to be personalities clashing based on previous relationships. This seems to be more a case of people who have played the game before thinking they know better than anyone how to play the game.

American Idol Season 9: Hollywood Week 2

Posted by: Ariana  •  February 18, 2010 @ 12:46am

So, here's what I think goes down in the series of events leading up to the mishmash of scenes we're shown over this week's two episodes: after the cuts from group round, each contestant sang one more song for the judges -- seemingly from a rather short list of choices, including, most prominently, "Man in the Mirror," "I'm Yours," "Bu

Lost: The Substitute

Now we're getting somewhere. And it is somewhat fitting that Locke, whoever he is, is the one who stars in the episode where we finally see progress in this, the final season. As much as I didn't mind last week's episode, in hindsight we didn't really get anywhere. Perhaps inadvertently making up for this, tonight's episode was pretty great.

The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love - Episode 7

Posted by: Ramya  •  February 16, 2010 @ 11:10am

With only three ladies left, it's the much anticipated exotic location/sex date episode. We rejoin Jake and the ladies on the tail-end of their "powerful journey" in the beautiful island of St. Lucia.

Jake wonders how Ali is doing. Luckily, we're about to find out. For one, she's not at work (which is what she left the show for).

The Office: Manager and Salesman

Posted by: Lawrence Lee  •  February 14, 2010 @ 6:13pm

Manager and Salesman has got to be the most disappointing episode of The Office in a very long time. There was minimal characterization, a predictable plot, and a love story that's going nowhere. And where there is characterization, there is nothing memorable.

Supernatural: My Bloody Valentine

Posted by: Kyle Tetarenko  •  February 12, 2010 @ 1:32pm

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, what better show to have a themed episode than Supernatural?

It all starts with the cute couple Russell and Alice, who at the end of their first date both admit to having a great time and face the awkward first kiss.

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains - Slay Everyone, Trust No One (season premiere)

Posted by: Paul Little  •  February 12, 2010 @ 12:20am

Ten years ago, a little show called Survivor debuted as summer filler on CBS. Called a "reality show", it was a kind of hybrid mix of a game show and documentary, with a bit of Gilligan's Island thrown in.

American Idol Season 9: Hollywood Week 1

Ahhh, here we are. You... me... Simon... Ellen. The world's happiest family. It's Hollywood Week! We could just combine those to say Hollyweed.
