The 49th annual Winnipeg Folk Festival has come and gone -- hopefully so have all the sunburns and dehydration! The memories, though, I want to keep close.
July 11–14 was a sweltering four days with several thunderstorms.
In memory of the passing of Bob Newhart we re-air our episode recorded November 5th 2017 with host Jason Deline and guests Craig Fay, Martha O'Neil and Jeremy Woodcock. Recorded live at the Social Capital Theatre Andrea Miller worked the boards.

I sit down with my friend Alicia Carrick chat about comedian Deborah Kimmett's Downward Facing Broad. It resonated with us both on multiple levels and we got to catch up after a long gap and talk about a fun amazing comedian. A great way to spend a day.
The 2024 Winnipeg Folk Festival is upon us! The beloved fest's 49th edition will see thousands setting up their hammocks and tarps in Birds Hill Provincial Park, just outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba, on July 11–14.
After an abnormally chilly fest last year, it looks like the sizzling weather familiar to any seasoned folkie is back with a vengeance.
I chat with Mike Carrozza about Kyle Kinane, how comedy as art and the way the internet has made people think heckling is okay and how uncool that is. Check him out in Montreal or featuring for Kyle at the Vermont Comedy Club July 18th to the 20th. If you can't make it to Vermont do yourself a favour and pick up Mike's album Cherubic.
