The Golden Monkey Awards: Our Top Movies of 2008

It's Oscar time again! The 81st Annual Academy Awards are taking place this weekend -- and ShowbizMonkeys.com is in Los Angeles covering the event. We'll have some great video coverage from our time on the Red Carpet this year, but this post isn't about the Academy Awards. It's about OUR awards -- our own picks for the best movies of the year.
This episode started with a woman pounding on some beef with a meat tenderizer. Her husband walks in and there is an obvious tension. She tries to talk to him and is met with hostility. Still, she keeps a positive attitude and tries to talk to him even though he is trying to have a fight. She turns around and he kills her with...yep, the meat tenderizer. Blood everywhere.
This week the team tries to diagnose a priest who got drunk and met Jesus, Foreman and Thirteen face the music over their relationship and medical missteps and House totally rocks a pink shirt.

Hold Time marks the return of M.
Liz runs into Dr. Baird in the lobby of their building and they awkwardly arrange a date for their first date. She doesn't realize until later that she has inadvertently insisted that it be on Saturday, Feb. 14th- Valentine's Day.
This week: Coach has to make a decision between Matt and J.D., Tyra's cowboy continues to make waves in her life, Julie makes a fashion statement that raises Coach & Tami's eyebrows and Tim Riggins takes some business advice from Buddy Garrity and Flip This House.
Confessions of a Shopaholic, adapted from the series by Sophie Kinsella, is the latest chick lit bestseller to find its way to the silver screen.
The Review: Confessions of a Shopaholic (as seen by a dude)
The Situation: It's Valentine's Day weekend and you've got to do something nice for your significant other. You're not quite sure what to do but figure a chick flick is a safe bet.

Last year, I had the opportunity to sit down with stand-up comedian Sugar Sammy before a string of shows at Rumors Comedy Club in Winnipeg. He was touring the country promoting his debut CD, Down with the Brown.
