Winnipeg Folk Fest Interview & Performance: Two Crows for Comfort

Two Crows for Comfort are a Manitoba folk duo (with roots and country leanings) who spend a good chunk of their year touring around North America with their dog in tow. The incredible harmonies and storytelling from this real-life couple are up there with some of the best duos making their style of music anywhere on the planet.
There have been great boxing movies like Rocky, The Champ, and of course the historic Raging Bull. There were even some more average but enjoyable boxing films like Goldie and the Boxer, Gladiator, and Streets of Gold.
Ever since she was a young girl, Jackie Kallen (Meg Ryan) has been interested in boxing. In her early years she was hanging around the ring as her uncle Ray-Ray trained for a number of highly-regarded matches. Now in her mid-thirties, Jackie works as a personal assistant to the a promoter who arranges fights at the Cleveland Coliseum.
Imagine you find the girl of your dreams but each morning you have to remind her who you are and that you love her. How would you do it? Well poor bachelor Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) has found that very problem in the girl of his dreams, Lucy (Drew Barrymore).
You see, Lucy has a mental disorder due to a severe car accident. Lucy's short term memory expires each night she goes to sleep.
Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) lives in every man's paradise. Hawaii, home of the beautiful beaches, beach babes, and most importantly lots and lots of tourists. Henry is a self-proclaimed man of a thousand professions and he uses his persuasive nature and good looks to spend night after night with woman after woman, feeding them a number of lies about what he actually does.
JANUARY
January is often known as one of the two months studios use as a dumping ground for troubled movies.
In Hollywood, mid-January is a popular time to release movies that aren't expected to do much. The Mothman Prophecies, National Security, and Orange County were all released in Januarys of the past. It's not that these movies were horrible, it's just considered a bonus if they do happen to make a ton of money.
As we enter into 2004, it is starting to look more and more like the year of the "Stiller". Comedic talent Ben Stiller has 5 films opening in the next 12 months. His first in that quintuplet is the new romantic comedy Along Came Polly that co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
Reuben Feffer (Stiller) has had to endure a lot of stress recently in his life.

It's funny how things work out sometimes. In October of 2002, I crossed paths with singer/songwriter Ben Lee at a sound check party for a Vanessa Carlton concert that I won tickets to from a local radio station.

2003, the year in film, is quickly coming to a close. It seems like just yesterday I was sitting down in a theatre to see the first theatrical release of the year.
