"I can't roll over at night."
One of the things that Episodes excels at, is in its non-stop mockery of all things Hollywood, audience, and social issues related.
Once bitten, never the same.
Following up on a lead after a cow was eviscerated, Sam finds himself in a hospital in Wisconsin to see who is responsible for the attack. As it turns out, Dean is already there waiting for Garth to wake up.
The first thing you realize when watching Debra DiGiovanni -- whether it's on stage or during her appearances on television shows such as Comedy's Match Game or Much Music's Video on Trial -- is that she's ridiculously funny.
In this new era of music, when iTunes downloads and YouTube views are just as important as (or, one could argue, more important than) album sales and radio plays, it's quite the feat for any musician to have their videos played nearly 30 million times on YouTube.
"Is that still on?"
As usual, things were not going so well at Stage 32. One of the actors, Stoke (Howie), wanted to get some flex-time at the expense of everybody else. Stoke had landed himself a role in a movie that was headed by a severely overrated douche nozzle director.
"You're good but I'm Crowley."
While Dean is knocking a few back at the bar who shows up but none other than Crowley.
"Maybe we should try adjusting your medication again."
There is something that can be said about Matt's ability to dig himself out of a hole. For now, at least. Diane was right about his nasty vicious circle, and she should have stuck to not wanting anything to do with Matt. But Matt is also a persistent one.
Following Kevin's death, Dean is a wreck.
"Hold that thought, I'm just going to change the sheets."
Episodes is great when it comes to all the relationship and cheating drama that seems to have no limits. Since none of the characters are all that relatable, it becomes easy to just laugh at them as they screw each other to no end, and in how they deal with their poor decisions.
In prepping this article, I had one goal in mind: Shed a bit of light on some of this year's finest work in TV comedy.
