The incredible harmonies and storytelling from this real-life couple are up there with some of the best duos making their style of music anywhere on the planet.

Friday Night Lights: Hello, Goodbye

This week is all about beginnings and endings. It marks the end of Smash's time in Dillon. It brings about the resolution to Tami & Buddy's war of the jumbotron. It also seems to be the end of things for Landry and Tyra. But it's the beginning of something for Matt and his mom.

Supernatural: After School Special

There were many flashbacks in this episode and I have to say that I loved the actor choices made to play the young Sam and the young Dean. Dean's younger self had the same cocky swagger that Jensen Ackles puts into his character and Sam's double created the same feeling of capability yet vulnerability that Jared Padalecki throws at us every week.

The story picks up with the aftermath of Ethan's car accident. Annie is walking around the hospital with her parents, frantically trying to find her boyfriend. They finally track him down, and he's walking and speaking lucidly and all that. Rhonda, the girl that was driving the other vehicle, however, wasn't so lucky. She's in surgery.

Of late I find myself pining for the woebegone days when guerilla filmmakers produced colorful and rebellious forays into the avant-garde like Harmony Korrine's Gummo or Vincent Gallo's Brown Bunny. Sure, some of them were disasters but they were interesting disasters.
