2026 Winnipeg Folk Festival Preview

It's official. The 51st Winnipeg Folk Festival is entirely sold out! We're talking single day tickets, full weekend passes, and every camping option available for the fest's 2026 edition running July 9–12. Yowza! I don't have official statistics yet to confirm the following statement, but I think this might be a new record.

Winnipeg Comedy Fest Interview: Opinionated and controversial (to some) stand-up comedian Darren Frost

When one is labelled controversial, it will usually bring with it a lot of attention. But while comic Darren Frost has frequently been given the moniker of "Canada's Most Controversial Comedian", he feels his reputation as an opinionated presence on stage has probably done more harm than good to his bottom line.
Back in season three, the employees were all invited by Kelly to join her at a Diwali celebration. At the celebration, Michael was introduced to Hindu culture, and learned about arranged marriage and how quickly Kelly's parents got married. Michael then proceeded to propose to Carol in front of everybody, which caused an awkward moment for the two of them.

Winnipeg Comedy Fest Interview: Comedian, actor, and all-around entertaining performer Chris Gibbs

The 2011 Winnipeg Comedy Festival began this past Friday, April 1st for the start of its 10-day run of mostly stand-up comedy (with a little bit of sketch, improv, and theatre) throughout the city of Winnipeg.
World of Warcraft is a place on the internet where lots of drama occurs. On the surface, it is just a game, but to Sheldon, it is more than a game. To him, it is his on-line alternate life. In this alternate life, Sheldon has spent a huge amount of time leveling up, and collecting virtual items. It comes as no surprise that Sheldon would react badly when he was hacked.
The interviews. The rehearsals. Backstage segments. Countless recaps. The biographies. Celebrity special appearances. Product placement. The judges. The scores. The voting. The ridiculously long commercials. And worst of all, the elongated elimination segments that attempt to build tension and suspense.
What the hell just happened? That is the question that will be lingering in your mind when you exit the theatre after being sucker punched by Zack Snyder's aptly titled new film. The highly stylized director of 300 and Watchmen fame brings his now standard unique vision to the screen once again.
Imagine a pregnancy without stretch marks or swollen feet, without cravings or contractions, and without wearing muumuus or getting morning sickness. Sound too good to be true ladies? All you need is a human easy bake oven from an alternate universe.
